Reference Specification Checklist
When
requesting design assistance, information should establish
adverse conditions to which the magnet may be subjected
- for example unusual temperatures, humidity, radiation,
demagnetizing fields produced by other parts of the
magnetic circuit, etc. The various magnet materials
react differently under different environmental conditions,
and it is most likely that a material can be selected
which will maximize the chances of success, provided
that all relevant information is conveyed.
The
following checklist may be helpful in constructing and
communicating specifications for permanent magnets:
