History
Integrated Magnetics is a division of Magnet Sales &
Manufacturing. The IM division was created to focus on
core competencies developed in the manufacture of
special, high reliability, high complexity magnets and
magnetic systems.
Beginning in 1955, Magnet Sales & Manufacturing, Inc.
began distributing magnet materials. The Magnet Sales
team continues to develop this legacy of high-quality
magnets in standard shapes, sizes and numerous grades.
During the 1980s, advances in material sciences produced
small and super-powerful magnets. These magnets - with
their concentrated size and strength - expanded the
scope of magnetic projects. To meet the unique demands
of these projects, the company added engineering,
grinding, machining and assembly capabilities. Today,
the Integrated Magnetics team handles highly complex
projects, and IM produces some of the world’s most
complex magnets and magnetic systems.
Through Magnet Sales and Integrated Magnetics, the
company can provide an array of services and materials
to meet customer a wide array of needs. We call this our
"Total Magnetic Solutions®" approach.
The timeline below highlights some of the defining
moments in our company's history.
