USA Manufacturing

Our 50,000 square foot Culver City plant in California is equipped with magnet fabrication, grinding, EDM, 4 axis CNC machining, Clean Room and precision assembly facilities, supported by a highly experienced manufacturing engineering and tooling team.

The group's coil winding and electrical machine manufacturing facilities are located in Carlsbad, California at our sister company CMI Integrated Technology.

Low Cost Region Plants

IM and the ITG companies have established our own manufacturing plants in China and Mexico. These LCR plants provide our customers with a cost reduction roadmap as products are prototyped and move into low-volume and then mid to high volume production. Today, except where IP or national security concerns dictate otherwise, customers are unwilling to pay more for products that can be manufactured equally well in lower cost areas.

China Plant

The establishment of our China plant, Atlas Integrated Manufacturing (AIM), as a 50/50 joint venture in 2002 was prompted by significant customers who wanted to extend their US supply base to China as their operations were moved there. The plant was built on "copy-exact" and systematic quality principles from the ground up. See more.

Mexico Plant

Our wholly owned Mexico plant, Integrated Magnetics de Mexico (IMDM) was established in 2006. This world class operation allows us to ship products with shorter transit times while being able to offer significant cost reductions, making JIT planning more feasible, and allowing a quicker transition of new programs.
